Red Mountain Campground at an elevation of 3500 feet is located in southwestern Montana and encompasses 20 acres. This is a basic campground with 16 campsites, toilets and drinking water. Fishing and river floating may be enjoyed on the Madison River. There is a boat launch nearby. Camping fee April 1 - December 1.

Drummond, MT: Drummond City Park

The Drummond Campground is ideal for tents, campers and RV’s. There are three pull through spots for RV’s with water and electricity. There are seven pull in spots for tents or RV’s without water and electricity. All camp spots have fire pits. There is a playground and a baseball field available for use. A boat launch and fishing access are also available. The campground is right along the Clark Fork River and has large full-grown trees for lounging in the shade.

East Glacier National Park, MT: Summit Campground

There are 17 campsites provided with handicapped accessible restroom facilities. Maximum RV length is 35 feet. The St. Mary Glacier National Park entrance is 42 miles east on US Route 2, while the West Glacier entrance is 46 miles in the other direction. The campground is adjacent to Memorial Square which celebrates Theodore Roosevelt (with a miniature Washington Monument) and the Blackfeet people. Summit Campground is also adjacent to Marias Pass Historic Site. Stay of 14 days and a fee is required. Pets are allowed if on a leash.

Essex, MT: Devil Creek Campground

In the heart of the Rocky Mountains, west of the continental divide and just south of the Canadian border, lies the 2.4-million-acre Flathead National Forest. Home to lynx, grizzly bear, and bull trout and with numerous lakes streams and rivers to enjoy, the forest is a premiere destination for visitors. The campground lies between East Glacier and West Glacier.

Eureka, MT: Rexford Beach Campground

Rexford Bench Campground is the most highly developed campground within the Kootenai National Forest. It is a popular destination for boating, fishing and swimming on Lake Koocanusa, and hiking in the surrounding forest. Beautiful sandstone formations can be viewed not far from the campground, and osprey and eagles can often be seen fishing in the reservoir.

Havre, MT: Great Northern Fair & Campground

The Great Northern Fair and Campground are located directly off Montana Highway 2, making them a convenient stopover spot for travelers on their way to and from Glacier National Park. Campers can find restaurants, supplies, and shopping just across the highway at the Holiday Village shopping mall. Visitors can also arrange to have tours of the 1870s army fort and a bison kill site used by native bison hunters for over 2,000 years.

Shelby's Lake Shel-Oole Campground and ballfield complex offer year-round recreational opportunities. Located just 1/2 mile north of Shelby, fly fishing in the summer months and ice fishing in the winter. Ice skating, nature trails and hiking around the dam are popular things to do. The four softball fields are usually full of activity during the summer months with adult softball and little league baseball. There are also 46 campsites below the dam with clean showers and hot water. This name was formed from a combination of Shelby and Toole (the name of the county).

Twin Lakes Campground is located within the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest in southwest Montana near the Idaho border. At an elevation of 7,200 feet, this campground encompasses 14 acres and has 21 designated campsites. There is a forest service campground with toilets and drinking water available. Hiking, fishing and boating may be enjoyed nearby. There is a boat launch available. No gasoline engines for boating. Pets on leash are welcome as well. The maximum recommended trailer length is 25 feet. Please limit your stay to 16 days.
